Compared to the C90 and CD days I dont think its possible to appreciate an artist in the moment anymore. We used to let our tape rock till our tape popped and knew the credits inside out between each drop. It was an event and thus you invested. Artists did the same because of the time between albums whereas now its a lot of half cooked and stepped on product to ensure they ain't forgotten. Ironic. Before people cheffed it up good and proper and seasoned to perfection.

The net through that in the bushes and said "Whats next? Whats next? Whats N-X-E-T?" and keeps most caught up in the stream so even when something hits its still all about the click, click, click.
I grew up on downloading tracks on limewire and putting them on CDs

These kids don't truly appreciate art like my generation. Last of the mohicans

Cole is planning The Fall Off

Kendrick might "live his life through Dave Free" and step back from the culture

You'd be surprised just how quick rappers will start leaving the game, as slow as it may seem

bro this is an old marketing tactic that everyone uses

they will drop singles and albums sparingly but it's not like they're gonna drop a final album and never put out anything again

kendrick just took a five year break, he's already on the jay retirement plan

I fukk with ya threads heavy just had to say that but man 10 years ago all these artist were all I listened to. I miss the anticipation of a new album(Streaming ruined this), or vlogs since you rarely heard from the artist.

Rap reminds of wrestling when I started to not notice the new people after stone cold and the rock.

Low key disappointed in how some of these guys careers turned out and I feel like the release of contracts and financials also ruined the game.

controversial opinion but if hip hop 50th bday was 5-10 years ago it would have been a lot more fan fare
