The NFL needs a new commissioner immediately, because weathering all this negative momentum will require significant rebranding. How the owners don't get this is beyond me, as they're supposed to be about the business hustle. They need to engage in massive cosmetic revamping, from the top down, or this ball of trouble is going to keep rolling downhill until it's a massive boulder of shyt that can't be slowed.

Cats used to die all the time back in the day playing football. Time just jumping on the anti football bandwagon. They'll be back, they'll love us again.

I don't know brehs, at the end of the day, all this backlash is coming from demographics that dont even watch football like that (women, gays, extreme liberals)

You guys have your heads in the sand. I don't have an anti-football agenda, I'm just observing the facts. When Nike and Bud are preemptively shytting on your partnership, which has been mutually beneficial forever, you can clearly see the negative momentum has reached a fever pitch. When the media is no longer sweeping arrests and crimes under the rug but raising a consistent enough stink about it that teams and the league are revisiting every decision they make and changing them completely, you've reached a dangerous point. When significant magazines and shows are dedicating covers and panels to football and it has nothing to do with the actual product, you're in a bad place.

The fact they haven't forced Goodell out is baffling. You have to placate the mob in this situation, or they'll stay on your ass that much longer, with that much more vigilance.

Also, women and liberals watch football. What the fukk?

They do need better leadership but, we have been seeing Goodell making up the rules and ruling with an iron fist was the wrong approach since pacman. It finally came back to bite him

Football is not going anywhere because the actual spectacle hasn't changed and there's nothing to replace it.

When watch people watch on Saturday and Sundays starts to materially change then it's time to panic

Dudes got some serious short-sightedness thinking that current ratings mean that everything is ok.

Its about how the current problems affect things after 10-15 years of snowballing

Extrapolate, brehs
And y'all are jumping the gun in thinking this stuff is going to somehow empirically hurt the NFL

Norfeast groovin…
The good thing is the shytstorm is centered more on Goodell than anyone else. The NFL has enough bad pub with the CTE and Redskins scandals currently unfolding, those are situations that just have to be managed in other ways. But upon disagreeing at first I gotta say I've come around to your thinkin @Walt, the owners would be doing themselves a huge favor to at least get Goodell out of the picture cuz this added fukkery is something that can really fukk up the growth of the league for them and their pockets.
