No she was never NOT a great wrestler. Her problem was that she was a a charisma deficient character or lackthereof with no promo skills which is why she never stood out in NXT/WWE. But its possible AEW gives her a look.

Her issue in NXT was that she was just a Generic Lady Wrestler who didn't fit the beauty standards that WWE looks for in their women.

The difference now is that she has turned "The Virtuosa" character into something special even with her deficiencies when it comes to cutting a promo. But let's be honest...who are these armies of women wrestlers who can cut a great promo?

Aside from Britt Baker all of the top women in pro wrestling period are pretty mediocre on the mic.

You're right...heel Bayley has improved by a lot and while I don't find Becky's shtick to be all that entertaining personally, she is decent on the mic.
