I have a very hard time believing that to be honest.

I know its a small sample size, But i can think of 12 of my friends (acquaintances might be a better word) who graduated from Ivy leagues schools (4 columbia, 2 Cornell (sisters), 2 Harvard and 4 Upenn (cousins+1 brother)), and of the 8 that are married... they are all married to black men/women.

But I know.. .its a very very small sample size.

Most of the brehs I know who when to Ivies or Black Ivies are married to sistas. Probably all of them. It's the former athletes I know who usually marry out of the race.

I might know why this is, and in part it doesn't have to do with race but intent.

I had Halo 2 about three weeks before it was released to the public.
Back before facebook was out when Myspace was popping I would filter black women 18-22 in a 5 mile radius of me with Halo as one of their likes.
Then I would chat with them whlie I was playing it with the volume turned way up, and eventually they would be like "what are you playing?" and once I told them it was about 30 mins til they were in my bedroom (where my x-box was), and another 30 mins til I was fukking.

Anyway, the point was never to play Halo 2 with them. It was always to fukk them. And most of the time thats what happened. A few times nothing sexual happened and obviously they never saw my bedroom (or Halo 2) again after that because from my vantage point they were wasting my time. But, what I realize now that I am older is that from their vantage point I was wasting their time with my advances because my intention did not match premise.

Cornball white dudes will sit and play videogames with chicks that like videogames. Black dudes like me, despite being completely into that world (I think I was working at Electronic Arts at the time) still just want to fukk.

I think its cute that girls play games or like comics and stuff, but really I just want to fukk. So I kind of understand now why it is what it is...

I ain't too much I can say except be comfortable with yourself. Y'all spewing this "black girls hate me because I'm a nerd" rhetoric is painful to read. If you want to self identify as a nerd because of your personal interests, than be a confident in that. Why carry an identity you aren't proud of? You aren't a lesser man because you have different interests from other people. Also, meeting a diverse range of black people will help you see that there are more than likely many other black people, including cute black girls who share your interests. It's not rocket science though it might feel like it. Trust me, I've been in a similar headspace before. I used to damn near brainstorm for reasons why hoes wouldn't fukk with me, and I missed out on a lot of females who were actually feeling me because of it. I just realized that being self-defeatist will lead to the self fulfilling prophecy of not getting p*ssy. And stop with the generalizations of people. Does every nikka you know fit squarely into the box "thug" or "nerd"? People are dynamic. A nikka you call a nerd might get females because he's cool and comfortable with himself. Meanwhile a so called thug might not get no hoes that's worth shyt because they'd see through his act. Bottom line, life is easier and shyt like this doesn't matter when you're comfortable in your own existence
