at my first concert in 1994 i was watching ATCQ at Lollapalooza (i was 12) and "Award Tour" was on MTV a good bit. they were insanely good at the show and there was a fat white girl in a yellow Tommy Hilfiger fleece standing next to me who screamed "that's my jam" and started shaking it up when AT came on. that was the the first time i ever heard that expression. then the breeders played and a sod fight started so i whipped a giant chunk of sod into the crowd and tagged some bro in the chest. "cool story bro".

as a whole i prefer MM but theres certain songs on Low End Theory i like better as stand alone songs.

if you can't sleep Midnight Marauders is the best album to put on...just puts you in a zone.
put it on, shut our eyes and...

cant find @FreshAIG thread right now, but MM was up there as a top album of the early 90s nominee, I believe.

Personally, I'm a Low End Theory fan. I absolutely love this album, and you really can't begin an album better than they did with Excursions & Buggin Out. Phife really went in throughout this joint, and there are classics all over it.

But yea, I feel like I've always seen MM touted more a bit. Interestingggg...

shyt dead even.. I mean dead even.. think I voted MM off Electric Relaxation which I think is their best record ever made.

Tribe GOAT group for me

I think MM has better songs :yeshrug: but like everyone else said, they're both dope.

Phife went all the way in on Low End Theory man. Butter is another example.

I love the story in the Tribe documentary about how Phfie was mad late to the studio and nobody could get in touch with him (obviously back in 90-91 with no beepers/cell phones like that yet). And eventually he got there, went right into the booth and killed his opening verse on Buggin Out in one take.
:whew:
