You take or leave the first season.A show about high school football is that good?
Yea, I watched the first episode off the strength of this thread and I can see why people like it. I just don't care about high school sports enough to get all the way into it. Whole ass town closing shop to watch pre-adults give each other concussions. You take or leave the first season.
Second season trash.
Third and fourth season is about whether a black high school can go all the way will tim riggins and the coach's daughter are still on the payroll so you have storylines about them being messy. It's better than a lot of other things.
thats a good way of putting it.it shoulda been a movie, or a miniseries im halfway through season 2, and i cant imagine watching two more seasons of these uninteresting a$$holes doing the same shyt in every single episode. true detective got it done in 10I agree, really good show but it was too one note to be top tier.
Never saw it soIf Friday Night Lights is making the top 10 then might as well add Spartacus too.
Expound thoughI need a rewatch but I wouldn't argue against it entering the top five.
Also, yeah I liked FNL but let's not get ahead of ourselves here.
Why don't you fukk with Patriot? This is just as hard as the last time.
1. The Wire
2. BCS/BB
4. Atlanta
5. Succession.
6. Mr. Robot
My top 6, for now. Unless someone brings up something that I forgot
Not enough GOOD seasons to be considered
Not really in the running for me, but worthy of conversation
- Severance - 1 really great season, who knows if this will ever finish. Between the actual show runners beefing and the writer's strike...
- True Detective - 1 great season, the rest okay
- Andor - If they can stick the landing, it will be some of the finest Sci Fi ever made. S1 of Andor and Rogue 1 are already 1 and 2 for best SW film/tv stuff ever made. Mando S1 would be #3 for me.
