Yup. Dev (who owns Sia Collective) and Omi been clowning that nikka for the past 2-3 weeks now. Dev has basically been giving Kiy game from the jump on how to improve his shoe, hooked him up with his accountant, and a whole bunch of real nikka shyt. Dude even let him know that Nike was gonna start sending out cease and desists way before it happened (which actually came to fruition). Kiy is a dikkhead so he started throwing subs saying that dude was hating and "disguising it as OG talk", which Dev ignored at first, but he just had enough and went scorched earth on that nikka. He released text messages between him and Kiy and if you read them you could see that he was nothing but supportive of dude from the beginning. Basically like a big brother.
In the midst of all that, Omi In A Hellcat (youtuber) found out who manufactures Kiy's sneakers. Talked shyt to Kiy letting him know that they got the same manufacturer on some "friendly competition" shyt. Kiy laughed it off but behind the scenes made the manufacturer choose sides and put a stop to the production of Omi's "slides," not even sneakers at that point. He lost money behind that though. Omi, being petty, stole Kiy's whole sneaker design and pays the manufacturer even more money to put it into production. From this situation, everybody finds out that Kiy stole the bolt design from another black owned company in Oakland who had it trademark called "Superb." So he's basically been selling this shoe without owning the trademark. To top all this bullshyt off, Nike's application to federally trademark the Air Jordan 1 High gets approved. Everybody is shook now. Some companies got cease and desists and refunded their customers, others are keeping it on the low.
Omi does the smart thing and makes a new trade dress that doesn't infringe on Nike's and is also giving Superb a cut of his profits since they own the bolt trademark. Superb initially didn't want to sue Kiy because he's another black designer but a lot is being revealed about how Kiy is a piece of shyt to the people around him and his customers so Superb is pursuing legal action now. Dev and Omi are still clowning, and Kiy and David Weeks are still selling sneakers on some "catch me if you can" shyt.
There's really so much more I'm leaving out but you could do a whole business class on this situation. I learned a lot about the sneaker game from this. shyt, just yesterday I found out that you could make a sneaker design, sell it directly to a factory, and get a check off that. nikkas are so busy arguing with trolls in these comment sections over who's right and who's wrong that they don't realize that they're giving up a whole lot of game in the process. People should be soaking this shyt up.
