I remember working at Spec's (FYE) in like '99 and the Regional Manager came in one weekend talking about how they arrested Gloria Estefan's son for stealing CDs, etc at the South Beach store. Like, why the fukk would you be stealing shyt when your parents are Multi-Millionare's? A lot of times really it's the notion that they think they can get away with anything because of who they are / who their parents are. A rich family doesn't necessarily make you a "Good Kid".
Obviously in this case, Jackie's worried a lot more about his Public perception than the well being of his kid (who's really an Adult now, but still...), but in China they're very big about disgracing your family.
