Dead assss, I've been on YouTube since the beginning. And February or March this year(2024) was the first time I heard about dude. And it was a thread from here.

Who pushed the button on him on why?

He's clearly been protected and pushed by tech/media. He generates more views in a month than some cable networks and generates more ad revenue per month than almost any domestic television station not in a major market. This could've been cleaned up, and he should have the money to clean it up, but it's leaking out. Why now?

If he crashes out on this it will be clear that someone suddenly decided to cull him from the herd.

Probably just someone who had dirt and couldnt extract hush money. This is why I say do your best to preserve your internet anonymity. Never know when some clown will show up with a tweet and a demand for a check. Corporate America is going to make giving up your privacy real convenient.
