Wilt was sittin on the bench because his coach hated his guts. Hard to win a game when u say "put me in coach" and he say "Go to hell"
Did you watch that game? Did you understand how that team worked that season and what their greatest shortcoming was particularly pertaining to Wilt and that coach? To anyone who has a clue about that season it is complete ignorance to use a blanket statement like "Wilt lost ______" (with an implication that it reflects Wilt's abilities). That was a messy season behind the scenes, Wilt didn't lose shyt, not in the way you think he did. I have interview with that coach where he openly admits that he wanted to see the Lakers win without Wilt on the floor in that final NBA Finals game so when Wilt wanted to go back into the game in the 4th quarter the coach told him to go to hell... It's no certainty Wilt would have made sure the team won, but like I said, u can't blame the guy who's sittin on the bench for losing.
