The thing you have to understand is, being a Bone Thugs stan is the same as living a lie. For all the nostalgia people wax over this group, they couldn't recite one good verse from anybody in that group off the top of their heads. For a while though, they didn't need to because dope beats and catchy melodies kept them afloat....but that day is long gone. Let's be reality, Bone Thugs had an EP, an album, and you can take or leave the rest. Solos included. I'll let you have Art of War mainly because I feel sorry for yall, but be real with yourselves, they're damn near flash in the pan status. Aint nobody thought about Bone in 20 years....I don't give a fukk what they sold after 1997. You got lil nikkas to this day biting Lord Infamous flow and imitating Paul and Juicy beats, if not outright sampling them. I shouldn't have to post receipts for that either.

It's BEEN over for Bone, yall just don't know it yet....or maybe you do and thats why you go so hard for this glorified barbershop quartet.

And this is why I asked what are we gauging this off of, because Bone were already established artists when 3-6 debuted...and were superstars by the time Chap. 2 dropped which is 3-6's debut on a major. So of course more people are gonna go with Bone if you simply asked who's better.

I'm a fan, and been a fan of both...and it's really pretty even skills-wise. Krayzie and Layzie are I would say Bone's best spitters and Infamous and Koopsta are 3-6's best spitters

Flow - I would say even although Lord Infamous's flow is still prominently being used today

Lyrics - About even...depends on if you can objectively listen to satanic content though

Content - I'd give that to Bone...they have a wider range of content then 3-6 had

Production - I prefer 3-6, they were more original than Bone and it's evident in the fact that they're production style is still being used 20+ years from when they hit the scene

So even though people are saying Bone is far ahead or is light-years better than 3-6 if you really broke it down they're actually neck and neck
Great post.
But where is 36's across the board classic?
And most hip hop heads don't hold Lord Infamous in high regard. He's not accepted across the board as a top tier lyricist. :yeshrug:

I'm also very baffled at this narrative in here. As much as I love 3-6....on what parallel Earth are they better than any any of those groups listed? Far as straight up lyrics?
They have a great discography

Some of us just care about the music :manny:

Three six. More consistent and much better discography. Bone fell off a cliff after uneek left. Last album I even acknowledge of theirs is art of war.

fukk up cracka

And Heavens Movie...Bizzy Solo... “Better act a little bit feminine / Take the fatigues off / fukk the club / Even the six / It’s hellish"

Had em in their feelings for years...cus their show got shutdown in Memphis back in late '94 with "Thuggish Ruggish BUSTAZ" chants...and they blamed the 6double6.

When really it was TOMMY WRIGHT that had the city turned up that evening :banderas:

Bone is a GREAT rap group top 10 all-time...but to nikkas in the M they were just cheap clones :yeshrug:

Speaking on Tommy Wright is too much for these cats not in the know:wow:.

3 6 was more innovative with the production but don't sleep on Bone. I could barely understand what they were saying so the beats are what kept my attention. There's plenty of groups from the south who were better than 3 6 at the time. Cant think of any group from the Midwest who were better than Bone
Ball and G >>> any group mentioned in this thread tho.

At anyone claming Lord or fly were average on the mic when they are 2 of the best rappers to ever come out the south
Then I saw that Lord was biting bone when he's actually the first one recorded in audio doing that style. Bone enterprise didn't come along until a year or two later.
Try and rewrite history brehs:mjlol:

My and my Lil bro would bump nothing but bone thugs and 2 pac on road trips with our mum
She never understand a word :bryan:and would ask:ld: why does that guy, (pac) sound like he is crying

The melodies at the time for me were huge. How they blended. I hear their influence in Kendrick. And sure enough he was rapping along to them on one of the award shores as they performed. I think their legal issues is what stopped their momentum
