Cacs, especially far-right cacs, love conspiracies. It's a new conspiracy every month against whatever is the trendy boogeyman of the year :mjlol:. There is a lot of bots on internet but unfortunately most bad takes and outlandish posts you see are indeed from real humans.

EDIT: I did some research to be sure and of course, this theory emerged first from 4cac and other related boards, what did I tell you :pachaha: Dead Internet theory - Wikipedia
Props for tracking the source.

Black people are the OG conspiracy theorists, and for good reason. No one looks at you weird today when you say you believe James Earl Ray most likely wasn't MLK's shooter. Especially when the King family agrees with you. Same with believing the FBI was involved with the murder of Malcolm X and Fred Hampton. How about the CIA's involvement with the infiltration of drugs in black communities?

It’s pretty legit to a degree….. and it would start with that site because they are hardcore internet users…. Anybody that has been using the internet for at least 25 to 30 years would agree

I guess I should have been more clear, theories like the FBI being involved in political affairs and the murder of civil right activists are actually sound because they are grounded in facts. Nobody today even the FBI themselves would deny they were involved in the dismantlement of black groups or organizations at the time. Silly conspiracy theories like "everyone is a bot but me" sound like the fantasy of cac incels who actually spend too much time on internet, play too much video games or watch too many sci-fi movies. And when you look where these kind of theories emerge it's usually the case.

I know bot activity has rose up but not the point where they make the majority of interactions on social media, what @Stir Fry posted shows why it's not possible, at least for now.

One thing I’ve noticed is that all social media is the same. Same memes and stories shared everywhere. So we’re half way there.

I know something like this is already happening on news sites. During the Republican conventions, the rabid right wing comments would drop to almost zero on one site (yahoo I can’t remember). Then right after it was over they’d take over the comment section again.

I play League of Legends and people think some players are bots. They don’t really ”play” right, don’t interact, just kind of wander around engaging with whatever they run into.

Its true for twitter esp now that you can get paid for engagement. With bots you can generate it.
