When it was Cowboy Up everybody loved that they were taking shots of whiskey before the game. Last year they blame the losing on chicken and beer. Nobody would have cared if they won one extra game.

They run the players' manager out of town by being spoiled, so I don't know what they think they'll accomplish by running Valentine out of town. They'll never have at as easy as they did before, and its their own fault.

This year the problems are injury after injury, Lester, and Beckett. Not the manager.

I root for the younger individual players coming up, but I'm glad the team sucks this year. They need one really bad year. Hopefully they've learned their lessons on giving out big contracts.

I might be weird though. Every team I'm a fan of I became a fan of while they sucked. I get sick of a team when they're expected to win all the time. I'm fine if my team is a loser, but they have to at least be likeable. :manny:

Pedroia is a piece of shyt as a human being and on top of that he has a lower OPS than old ass Derek Jeter this season. Someone should be taking photos behind him while he's at the plate.

On that note I hope the Pedroia Cano debate is finally over

This is a joke. No one, cept maybe Papi, takes any responsibility for their play. They should really 'Cowboy Up' already...

Excuses:

2011 - Chicken and Beer
2012 - New Manager
2013 - Outdated fitness equipment in player's lounge
2014 - Leg Room At Fenway

Maybe in 2015, their rotation and bullpen will get some blame.

When Pedroia said "that's not how we do things around here" complaining about Bobby V fresh off of eating fried chicken and making videos, I thought to myself why isnt't eh media tearing this dude a new one.

What have the Red Sox earned to say "that's not how we do things around here" as if they've done shyt lately?

Local media got on him pretty good about that.

The problem is long term, guaranteed contracts + a former players manager who coddled you at every turn+ plus a lack of success + an ownership group that brought in a different personality type and then promptly empowered and then deflated his ability to control the club house his way = This mess.

I spoke to Iron Monk.

Dude is actually sympathetic to Bobby V. Seems like the fans are sickened by the Red Sox players behavior. Monk said he refuses to watch their games because they're a bunch of bytches.

I wish the national media would rip them a new one.

TONS of fans are sympathetic to Bobby V. Fans wanted accountability after lats season collapse. They brought in Bobby to do that, he called out Youk, then promptly had Pedrioa call him on it. The media started going on what Pedroia said, the owners talked to Pedrioa, then to Bobby, and then Bobby had to stop talking about the players publicly and it's been all down hill from there.

I was in box seats right next to the dug out when Josh Beckett got shelled in 2 innings of work after 'Golfing' when he couldn't pitch, and I've NEVER heard Fenway like that. Fans were SCREAMING at him when he got off the mound. They fukking HATE him now.

PS, Tell Carlos we miss him in the fantasy leagues. :troll:

The players were the problem, not the manager. They changed the manager but kept the players. Still the same problems. But I still hate the manager, I'd rather have a cardboard cut out. You can't be out of major league baseball for ten years and expect it's going to be fine.

These are rich, fat, arrogant, a$$holes. You could bring in an Army General and it wouldn't have changed anything. But they ran the best manager the Sox have ever had out of town and smeared his rep on the way out.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Can't really hate on Bobby V.

There needs to be accountability with the players.

Pedroia set a bad tone right from the start when he called out Bobby V with the whole "we don't do that around here" after Bobby V called out Youkilis. I'm glad to see the media is starting to jump on him a little bit.

Ortiz is probably the only one who is blame free, he's stayed out of the drama from everything I've read, and put up some great numbers this year although he's hurt now.
Ellsbury has been pretty quiet too. Crawford has been playing well.

But the team is a bunch of spoiled prima donnas and there needs to be huge changes, I'm shocked/disappointed a bigger splash wasn't made. They should have traded Beckett for 10 cents on the dollar when they had the chance because it's extremely unlikely his value will go anywhere but down even further.

Getting rid of Bobby V won't solve all their problems, they go much deeper than that, if they really want to fix things they need to get rid of this guy...
