'Ya Bish' is that X factor stroke of genius that makes a classic.

drake cannot rap. he is a solid lyricist, but his delivery is boring and has no swing.

Why do you guys hate drake so much? its not easy making songs that bytches like to shake their ass to while maintaining an acceptable level of lyricism.

Best album I've heard in like 15 years. Since SC or Doomsday.

Better than Monkey Barz, Clipse, Kanye, any later Nas/Jay shyt, Lupe, Dipset, Madvillain, Lupe, Saigon, Little Brother,Cannibal Ox, Killer Mikes new shyt, Section 80, Habits & Contradictions, Control System, Below The Heavens, The Fix, La Bella Mafia lol, Trill OG lol, MBDTF, any Ross album, Cuban Linx 2, Fishscale, Thug Motivation 101, Drakes shyt....better than every last one.

I know it. I've always known special stuff when it pops up.

*and shots just licked off in Van Nuys as I type this.

*BLUCKA BLUCKA BU-BU-BLUCKA BLUCKA BLAOW!!!!!

MC Eiht would be the SECOND X factor dat make De classic run De tracks.

And had anyone informed 'stillnotsoft' that KL shouts both Jeezy AND EARL STEVENS??!!!

That'll convert him.

Him shouting out Jeezy and Earl Stevens got me thinkin rational:myman:

Only reason I'm not gon go in about how average this album is....In no way shape or form is this the best album in 15 yrs nikka:laff:....Standout tracks are Poetic Justice,Compton,Madd City with Mc Eiht,Art Of Peer Pressure,Sing For Me,Swimming Pools and its another one too I just forgot....ima start off sayin the beats overall will be a let down if you expectin heavy bass, gfunk shyt, typical Dr Dre beats...but the beats are more of a throwback to the style of beats oldschool California LYRICIST would spit over...so I give a pass on the beats becuz I'm guessin that's what wuz intended so I'm not takin points off just cuz I went in thinking "dr dre production"...once I realized what wuz goin on I got it.

Why the goofy azz hooks:what: what's with the goofy azz hooks and voice changing technology:childplease:?...nikka u ain't Future its wack when u do it:pachaha: it wuz a miss everytime....not to mention that wack hook u served up on Poetic Justice ruining what coulda been a classic track,u wuz better off lettin Drake do it or just shutting up and letting Janet do it.

As for the lyrics?Dude is nice but he is not on the level lyrically he thinks he is where he can rap THAT LAIDBACK that much on a album:wtb: sounded completly uninspired...dude doesn't have much mic presence at all and people are letting him off easy bcuz its sumthing different being pushed in the midstream...definitly the hipsters king right now.

Number one reason this ain't classic is bcuz throughout the album I kept thinking of nikkas like Almighty Arrogant,Andre 3K,Saafir,Krayzie Bone who all may or may not be influences but he reminded me of each at certain points throughout the album, and I could only think how his lyrics, delivery, songs paled in comparison to theirs:manny:....when I heard Doggystyle obviously u would see the Slick Rick, maybe the richie rich inspiration but I certainly wuznt thinkin shyt about them as I wuz listenin to Snoops debut bcuz he built on it to a point all u could think wuz :krs:.:whoo: while listening.

Its a nice changeup from what's current in the mainstream, and hopefully he's a factor and not just the current hipster savior til the next one comes along, but "look into my eyes" nikka please:childplease: get this thread to the bushes

i dont know i liked a lot of the albums n mixtapes that dropped

but its def not like the old days like the 90s

as i said, MINUS da mixtapes, minus dem studio throwaways. dis yr hasnt been that nice. jus a handful of decent albums. The fact no1 has sold platinum is proving dis.

ha i dont hate drake at all. like you said he is an expert at making songs for women, he is a master at writing hooks. he gets props from me. i am speaking solely on the art of rapping. his delivery is kinda monotone and boring. and when i say "swing", i kinda mean the best rappers can play with words and the way they phrase and deliver those words that just makes it more enjoyable. drake is just kinda monotone. i like his hooks though. and he has some solid material. far from a drake hater. good luck to duke.
