Suga Free said Dre made him spend all day in the booth saying "a nicca with a motherfukking gun" and then he wasn't even on the version we hear on the album.
I know he was mad as fukk but ain't say shyt about it.

Daz: “yo where this nikka Dre?”When Dre got his first answering machine, how many times do you think he re-recorded his greeting?
"Yo, this Dre."
No. I'm a doctor for Christ's sake.
"DR DRE...ALL DAY!
That won't work. That's when I'm busiest.
"This is the mighty D-R-E.
What if they can't spell? A lot of the homies didn't graduate high school.
"Hell yeah!"
Hell yeah to what? Am I that excited to get a message? Are they that excited to leave one?
Them Death Row dudes didn't see Dre for weeks after that.

You can see why him and Pac wouldn't get along as he'd knock out an album worth of songs in the time Dre is fine tuning one verse.
Always found it odd that this track is one of the few, if not only, that Pac ever did without doubles, triples, overdubs or adlibs. Just one layer and thats it.
Kubrick made Harvey Keitel do 60 plus takes of one scene in Eyes Wide Shut, he just quit and the role was recast.
That’s wild they say Dre got 200+ songs recorded for Detox
Prolly got at least 3 classic albums worth of material there
Probably because it's Dre and they didn't want to get blackballedI woulda cursed that nikka out. Surprised there aren't stories of dudes spazzing on him for that shyt.
Shows that Pac came in there just hyped to work and wasn’t starstruck by Dre at all. And Can’t C Me was diverted from Tha Dogg Pound and made its way to Pac because it was business as usual — knock these songs out.
A seasoned dude like Pac was not letting Andre tell him to do a line 400 times when that time could be spent doing 2 other songs. Wouldn’t shock me if Pac did one take on Can’t See Me just to spite Dre’s workflow.
I’m sure when Pac arrived and it was clear that he was taking tracks from whoever had heat, those other producers were because not only was he asking for tracks but he was using them immediately.
Thats what I thought as well because every other track he's ever done is multiple vocals, except for the one where he works with a dude known for multiple takes.
The dualities
This interview showed his whole vibe shift once Dre appeared:
Went from "Happy to be here!" to an Iraqi hostage, real quick. Also just noticed that Pac said Dre wasnt in the DR studio and he had to go to his home to rock Cant C Me so that seems to be that he just dropped the verse and left.
Energy is an interesting thing because each interaction either builds or destroys resonance as its all harmonics in this realm.
Entire episode goes by and the one adlib is still getting tweaked
The world needs a Dre in the studio type reality show
Making nikkaz spend 10 hours spitting one verse
