Hot take...not a fan of this. Obviously it worked for a good chunk of Dre's career but there's also a lot of beauty in just capturing the moment, and if something feels right going with that take instead of obsessively doing that shyt hundreds of times.

You can see why him and Pac wouldn't get along as he'd knock out an album worth of songs in the time Dre is fine tuning one verse.

Always found it odd that this track is one of the few, if not only, that Pac ever did without doubles, triples, overdubs or adlibs. Just one layer and thats it.

Snoop has said he hates that shyt.
I can believe it. His style is the exact opposite. Snoop's way more freestyl-ish and loose and flowing with it. I definitely see him as an easy dude to work with the studio.

Dre sounds like a nightmare and IMHO a lot of producers and artists have endured working with him because they thought it was a smart career move, and just because of how big his name is. Also, even if the song never comes out there's still clout just from saying you recorded with Dre for Detox, etc.

I've been in tons of studio sessions with lots of respectable names and I've never met anyone that likes to make music how Dre does.
