Interesting theory. Surprised it didn't get more of a response since the ramifications could be pretty dire for WWE if any of it were true. And now it's out about the employee testing positive so there's a lot up in the air rn.
I'm confused about financials though and he admits it wasn't worded clearly. If I read it right, 500m of stock funded the league and they let investors know they have an additional 500m cushion, which is now 870m since they pulled the plug early?
Idk how much of a season they had left but it's possible they saw the writing on the wall that people wouldn't be in large gatherings for a while and they don't have the option of playing in front of no fans like NBA, then having to worry about competing with everything ramping back up on TV and just decided to leave early. Doesn't really seem Vince like though, which is evident by the WWE still going on even though everything else is shut down. If the XFL could've went forward they would've, they still had 370m to burn through. Which leans into his opinion that the he pulled out early because this stuff would seriously affect the WWE's financial status far beyond the May timeline for the country to re-open, or as he puts it, that Vince's gotten info about just how long this will effect things. Then there's pressure with the networks that could get dicey which they were already underperforming with.
It'd be strange if he got info and nobody else did since the NBA/Silver and Trump talked this past week, seems like Silver would've officially deaded the season by now. Idk, killed some time thinking about it all while being locked down
