We just had TWO LEAGUES try in less than a year

Both failed but atleast the other one lasted longer than the XFL
It’s a wrap now..... no one finna try again for a minute

neither league was a failure. both were buzzing and had built-in core audiences.
the interest is clearly there.

the AAF had a chitty investor who killed off the company.
the XFL was actually more successful, and we wouldn't even be having this discussion if it wasn't for the corona.

shyt was gonna fail. Ratings under 2. Coverage on sports channels was on the back burner or not even mentioned.

Mason and Ireland, LA’s favorite sports hosts on ESPN Radio, didn’t even fukk with it. The rare times they brought it up, Mason would shyt on it and say it would fail. :mjlol:

XFL was being heavily promoted by fox-sports and ESPN. and getting ratings under 2 for an upstart minor football league is far from a bad thing, especially when going head-up against an onslaught of weekend basketball, hockey, etc at the prime points of those seasons.

meanwhile, ive never even heard of mason & Ireland.
