Mythra is so fukking broken. Jesus Christ. You technically don't even need any other characters.:mjlol:

I seen a guy on Youtube use Luck + Beast Slayer to kill that level 91 t-rex in one hit.

Yeah. Apparently people thought it increased your chances of getting Rare Blades....but I haven't seen any proof of that. The guy I seen on Youtube had 482 Luck, and Beast Slayer equipment on Poppi.

Not sure why he used Poppi, since you gotta do a fukk ton of "Tiger, Tiger" to upgrade her with that stuff. Would've been easier to put all that Luck on Rex or another character with Beast Slayer gear.

Anyway, his plan worked because he fought the level 91 dinosaur for like 2 minutes then it just died. It still had most of it's HP. He got 20,896 EXP at level 79. I might try it in a few.

Been playing this on and off for about an hour at a time.
The combat is weird to me but the story is pretty interesting so far so I'm keeping at it.

Fair warning you may not actually fully understand the combat in this game for like 15 hours lol.

It's great when you get it, but they dole it out slowly and it's kind've complicated.

Yeah I noticed that. They try to spoon feed you all of the game's mechanics a little bit at a time. It's annoying to me though. There's a ton of text and hand holding. For the most part, I've skipped passed all the text and just figured out the menus on my own. I know the system is a bit complex but it isn't impossible to figure out on my own for the most part....at least so far.
I'm not very far in the game at all. I have Pyra and that "blade" with the blades on his fists that punches fast.
Sidenote: You guys weren't lying about how ugly this game looks in handheld mode compared to the tv. The hell is up with that. It doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the game, but it's still a huge difference in presentation which is a shame. I thought these games were supposed to look better in handheld mode due to the smaller screen.

It's cool that you can get a quick kill like that but best way to gain EXP is chain attack into an overkill. Overkill gives an EXP multiplier. I killed that same dinosaur with my party around the same level and with the overkill it hit a 350% multiplier. So, instead of 20k+ EXP, I got 73k+.

You chain attack into overkill at the right time, depending on who you're fighting, you can gain entire levels in one single battle.

And yes Mythra is very broken at the end of the game. The green haired blade is even more broken but you know why she's different if you've seen her

I was like 80 hours in before I realized how to chain attack properly, don't worry about it. Combat doesn't really kick off until you have enough rare blades to make it matter. Once you do though :wow:

And yeah, it looks like shyt in handheld. Likely cause it was rushed it meet a 2017 date. It drops to the lowest resolution of any game on the console in spots

They tried to do battery life as the main thing I guess. I played it docked mostly.

Also, you not figuring out the whole battle system without reading that text breh. Right now you can just smash enemies and do random arts. Eventually you're going to be on youtube watching videos trying to crack the code :lolbron:

I wouldn't say it's hard, it just has a lot of layers and you have to know what does what and what order. They literally are unveiling new gameplay mechanics like 50 hours in :mjlol:

It's easy once you get it but it's kind've like learning a board game or card game with a very specific set of rules, it'll take a while to click. Just trust me the combo system, the class system, the orb system, chain attacks, bursting orbs, character combos, seals, the merc system, it gets dense as hell.:hubie:

Pay attention to the battle system or you'll pay dearly later.
