Amazon and Google are the main ones tryna buy studios and do cloud, hence that's Xbox main competition in studio accquistions and streaming.

Sony has the "AAA bangers", the purchase of Bethesda kills two(if not 3) birds w/ one stone. They block another publisher from Amazon, more content for cloud, and they have a team to make tentpole games(Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Starfield).

If they truly felt that way they wouldn’t keep Sony’s name in their mouths. They hardly mention amazon or google, they talk about Sony.

Whether you believe it or don’t microsoft has to get past sony before they can think of doing anything else.

We just saw how gamepass subscriptions have slowed down and their consoles are still far in last place.

It took sony two entire console generations to build a consistent 1st party studio line up and strong 3rd party partnerships. The fact that xbots keep trying to compete and compare themselves to sony because they bought a few studios and announced a bunch of games is the real joke.

Yall got a long way to go before you can eat at the quality exclusives table with sony and nintendo. As of now, Microsoft needs to dig themselves out of teh hole from last gen, then maybe next gen they can talk about making games like sony
