Dolby is a paid standard. That's why Samsung doesn't have it on their TVs. Same with smartphones. You have to pay licensing fees for the tech.

I don't believe it. If Sony really wanted premium HDR they'd just use HDR10+ which is free and many TVs support. I just don't think they care enough because most consumers won't care.

If your TV gets bright enough with HDR content then Dolby Vision is almost irrelevant. I say this as someone who has a Ssries X and doesn't have a PS5. Dolby Vision is really for TVs that can't hit 1000 nits.

Now sure, when I put on Disney plus my oled does go "Dolby vision" when watching a movie that uses it (most do)

And my sound system, I haven't gotten the elevates yet but when my speakers turn up they'll literally do that

Don't worry, you can just use the app built into your phone/tv and it should work. A lot of you exposed yourselves with this, I won't even explain how but it's obvious
