@ how fast and hard the xbots rolled in.
Xbox 360 used wifi, Xbox One uses your cable box directly so that the Xbox can have its own U.I. overlaying what you watch on TV when you watch via your xbox. So you can then do things like say "Xbox, ESPN" and it'll instantly change to that channel. Not sure where the confusion enters since this was made clear at the Xbox Reveal. I could link you to the reveal if you missed it?I have an xbox360 and will probably be buying the XboxOne as well, so take it easy with the personal jabs. If it works the way it should i'll be using it and if it doesn't, then it doesn't and I wont use the service.
But comparing Wifi to HDMI? Maybe you can explain that to me....I looked up rhetorical questions and nothing came up that suggested that a type of internet connection could and should be compared to a protocol used for high definition audio and video.
Or maybe i'm just mad ?
Maybe I'm slow today, but to watch cable via an xbox 360 (maybe you should get one someday) you use your wifi. I can't hook my xbox360 to the cablebox directly. The new xbox has an HDMI in and out. The out will go to your TV, the in will go into the cable box. So to compare the two, you'd sorta have to compare processing directly via the cablebox (XB1) vs over wifi (X360). Are we clear now?at you comparing processing directly from a server vs processing data from your cable box to your xbox
Its basically bringing the magic of Siri to the home before apple could. You acting like its NO BIG DEAL is you just showcasing how like you in here screaming "Its no big deaaaal " when it is. And the way it will change gaming forever is very real. If you don't understand that today, its alright. You will understand by 2014 though. You can lead a horse to the ghetto, but you can't make him sneezeBut, that feature ain't crucial AT ALL!!!! You & everyone who dapped that post are acting like not having to change the channel with a remote control is some kind of killer App!!
It's just a nice feature that is a solution to a problem that did not exist. It's not something to boast about during console wars.
For inhome use? Yup, sure izIs this feature supposed to be some groundbreaking new advancement in technology?
Would you like to apologize now, or could you point out where I was wrong so that I can educate myself and never make that mistake againThat's why @courtdog/@ps4 is a fukkING RETARDED IDIOT!!! That nikka just be spouting off shyt, not knowing the hell is talking about. He doesn't even understand how the media features on the 360 or XBone work, but he's lecturing folks like he's some kind expert.
I hear your concerns, and its clear you never used Kinect 1.0 before. Kinect 1.0 works better than what you are worried about. Kinect 2.0 works flawlessly..i thought the voice control tv stuff was cool like in back to the future II but now i think it might be more trouble than it is worth...you probably gonna need to figure out the right words to say to interact with 2 apps running at the same time...microsoft really pushing the voice control stuff but the xbox1 is a gaming device so people will need to use a controller...im sure they will discover it is easier to navigate with the controller and not even bother with the voice control feature...microsoft should probably chill until they are ready to talk games 'cause i dont think they will be able to sell this thing on voice controlled tv watching with apps...what if voice control is the only way to navigate or interact with some features--...i wonder if it can recognize broken english or southern accents--...
Honestly, there's no way if you think about it, that it could ever go as fast as what they showed during the reveal. shyt, there's lag using a remote that is DIRECTLY COMMUNICATING WITH YOUR CABLE BOX!! If you connect your cable box to your XB1 you gotta think of the communication and processing back and forth that has to happen. We fell for the banana in the tailpipe by MS during that reveal.
The way you make some of your sentences a different color and size to show emphasis is corny as shyt.
You talking about the Xbox was laggy, hell try going to the guide on DirecTv sometimes. It can take over 6 seconds for it to recognize that you pressed a button.
Lol at that bullshyt gif. They have it set up to look like she said one phrase and it took a long time to snap all those things on there when in reality she said one phrase and it went to that bing screen, then she said another that isn't shown in the gif (Xbox snap) and then it started snapping those things on the side.
You have to watch the video to get the full picture.
