People take the overwatch 2 news out of context all the time. What they canceled was the full fledged rpg mode with individual skill trees for each character. They always said pve events and story missions were still coming.

The fact that this is exactly what was shown and people are saying (isn't this what was canceled) shows fans dont know what they want for real lol. (Not just talking on here but on twitter)
