How do they show the damn NBA Finals on the app but not MNF?
Breh, this shyt is wack as fukk right now.The reason some of y'all (and anyone trying to access thru the Xbox) can't watch the MNF games, is there are, at the moment, 2 different "services". There's ESPN3 (basically the online portion...with all the extra games you can watch) & WatchESPN (which in addition to the online portion, you can also watch whatever is on the ESPN TV Channels (1,2,U). 360 is still technically running ESPN3. That's why they made that big announcement at E3 about switching to WatchESPN.
ESPN is charging the companies more for WatchESPN, which is why only a few are listed. Meanwhile, if your provider doesn't have WatchESPN (thus only carrying ESPN3), they limit what you can see (like the big College Football games, and MNF).
I'm praying that whenever the 360 brings actual WatchESPN support to Live (supposedly this year), us Time Warner ppl will finally have access. shyt is stupid that I can watch on my CPU & iPad (yes, I can watch the MNF games on my iPad right now), yet not on the 360.
Yal checked out the new UI after the update for this app?
I may be late, but it's nice, real nice
Can we watch MNF now or not?
Breh, this shyt is wack as fukk right now.
I can't watch the ESPN NBA National Televised games on the app this year...
I got home and tried watching the Clips/Spurs game and it's talking about the shyt is blacked.
Why they hating on the Stream Team?
Yup, that's the whole point of the thing: to make you have the channel(s) in order to stream them. And even then, a majority of the Cable/Internet providers haven't made a deal with ESPN re: WatcheSPN yet.
For me that's not the problem, as Time Warner is one of the companies to hop on the WatchESPN train. The problem is, that as a TIme Warner Customer, I STILL Can't watch ANY live events thru the ESPN 360 app. All I get are highlights. The shyt is a joke.
The bolded part is fantasy landThe reason some of y'all (and anyone trying to access thru the Xbox) can't watch the MNF games, is there are, at the moment, 2 different "services". You know what...
I'm going to try logging into my parent's UVerse account with the app and see if I can get the games that way. But I think the app reads which ISP it's using at the time, but it's worth a shot.
I don't think it's going to work. The bolded part is fantasy land
Why nikkaz wanna go into elaborate explanations when they just making shyt up
Cable providers have ESPN-Watch now
Thats a fukkin app, not a cable company standard. ESPN3 is something cable companies have to approve of. You just added the watch part into the equation.
As for WHEN will the app hit XbL? I heard by the end of this month
TBC...
Well, I used my verizon account via my xbox in a hotel that wasn't fios cable.
As long as you have that established on your console, it should work wherever there is internet access.
BUT... if you try to set shyt up via a friends console, it may not work
I tried, it attempted to connect. But it wouldn't get past the "verifying" screen. Food for thizzle...
I don't think it's going to work.
I have Comcast Xfinity, and I don't remember the app asking me for my ISP when I loaded it up initially. It just put Xfinity on my shyt, so I'm guessing it can read which ISP the console is on at the time?
I'm a mess around with the settings and see if I can clear anything out and try to log in with my folks credentials. Cause they have all the channels, and that's how I access HBOGo.
I think it's different depending on the app you're using.Nah, you had to pick which type of cable you had during initial setup. Well, I did
There is one step I forgot to mention. Not really a step unless ness type of step.
Once you register your console with a cable company, you can't erase that from you console. You have to call that cable provider and tell them to erase your info from that console. THIS IS STUFF THAT NOBODY HAS EVEN SPOKEN ON YET, COCKMEAT GOT THAT INFO FOR YOU DOGGY
I know this because I didn't know my password and put in my mom's info when Fios launched on xbox. She doesn't have HBo/etc so those two channels don't work when I watch fios via my xbox. I have hbo/showtime at my fams house. So I tried to change the account info when I learned of all this
I got HBOgo as well, and I got a friends netflix account. I never use them tho???
Xbox Live is worthless, if I paid for this trash I'd be pissed!
