Yup the OG Xbox is only Xbox system where you can argue Xbox had better games, and that's because they were offering gaming experiences that Sony couldn't on console.
After that PlayStation always had better games overall because they always had all 3rd party support and 1st dibs, the massive shift in devs chasing Western like game style and worlds is because of Xbox though.
They legitimately had a good run at that time. PS3 or not
It was a good run, but it's looked upon so fondly because it literally was the only next generation system out.
So on top of just having a good run, people who had no interest in Xbox bought it because, why not. What else were they gonna try new with next generation graphics?

Damn.. you got GeForce Now, Remote Play, and Steam Link all out before this. Damn near almost after Nintendo cause it looks like they're about to playtest their streaming. Hopefully it runs well with no asterisks. You know microsoft the asterisk kings.
too bad I'm not on android, but it's a step in the right direction. They need to find a way to make universal licenses. It would be nice if games you buy on xbox or windows store can work on console. pc, and mobile.
