One thing that always bugged with Fox Men films were the obvious wire work like they're stuck in the past using Hidden Dragon Crouching Tiger tech. Everybody flying in this movie floats around on a wire, shyt looks goofy af like Jean taking off like Superman while standing still :mjlol: when she should be taking off like this with flame effects added

Made perfect sense to me. Her power isn't like Superman. It's telekinetic not "flying". Just like Magneto.

Just watched this last night, haven't worked thorugh this thread yet...spoilers of course

  1. I was hyped to see this, I've got a thing for seeing GoT actors in other roles. It was alright but not as bad as everyone was making it out to be.
  2. Don't know why they seemed to second-bill Sophia Turner. Her name appears after all other actors throughout, but she's the "lead"? Her acting was pretty weak though. Some of the dialog was really dry and felt like they were just reading lines. If they would have gone with a solid actress, they could have probably pulled off a point or 2 moee
  3. Started out with the typical girl power bullshyt, had the eye-rolling 'you should call it the X-Women' line I guess everyone was supposed to start cheering or something :comeon:
  4. Yet another shytty portrayal of Cyclops. Dude had a punchable face, lame actor I'm guessing some producer is running up in that clown for him to get the part
  5. About the only aspects I liked about the story was the mutant simping that creates the Mystique conflict and how Xavier essentially reconstructed Jean's mind to keep her from losing control of her powers (that was touched on with the Famke Janssen Phoenix though). Come to think of it, the movie was was really a deep remake.
  6. Overall, just not a lot of imaginative action. Felt very boiler plate. Action felt like the lame wirework from the older X-men movies. I wouldn't compare to Crouching Tiger because those action scenes were epic with some :francis: wirework flying scenes.
  7. The movie starts to drift after the space shuttle scene. If they could have kept up the flow and energy up to that point, it would have been a really good movie. Come to think of it, how do the XMen have a spaceship but the US is still rocking an ancient space shuttle on chemical boosters?

Just watched it. Movie is great. Idc what anyone says. Disney/mcu ruined to the comic book film industry cause now it's a bunch of ignorant Stan's. Can't think of too many movies from DC or mcu with better action. Story wasn't amazing but still decent.

what about the characters that u can tell were supposed to be the Hellfire Club at some point in the creation of the movie, but Fox just said F it :yeshrug:and made them some no-name aliens:laff::laff::laff:

and the girl that is obviously supposed to be Emma Frost, but isn't Emma Frost :laff::laff::laff:
They did Emma frost in first class already, she got killed off
