One thing i've noticed is that it's very densely told story. I guess having to fit it into 10 or so episodes.

The irony of the critique that they are breezing through storylines too fast in these first 3 episodes is that the comic books dragged some of these storylines out too long
Not at the time. We talking about true 5 star classic stories that were quality and sold huge...had DC breaking Batman's back and killing Superman to fight it.

Mutant Massacre was crazy...what Colossus did and how that led to Warren being a horseman for Apocalypse.

Here's the thing about adapting book Inferno:

The show never had Jean die, so you don't have the opportunity to have Scott mourn Jean, leave the X-Men, have a rebound w/ a ship captain, then find Maddy (who no one knows is Jean's clone), marry her, have a kid and then abandon that wife and kid to hook back up w/ resurrected Jean and bust mutants.
What they ended up doing in this version is give Scott the shock of the person he married and had a child with was a fake Jean, which gives him an understandable reaction of betrayal toward Maddy that he's been tricked and manipulated to that degree even if she wasn't conscious of doing it. And it allows Maddy to feel betrayed and abandoned like the original story with not assassinating Scott's character.

Now that's not to mention the show hasn't established Limbo/any of the principal demons/New Mutants as a squad/X-Factor never split from the X-Men/Maddy never hooked up w/ Havok who the show still hasn't established is Scott's brother/ etc... so all those absent storylines can't play into this, so it's naturally going to be truncated.

BUT, Morph did turn into Majik and Maddy flipped that into Darkchylde, which suggests Illyana has already had her formative years in Limbo during our 9 month + time gap between seasons and the X-Men are aware of it/were part of it. But does Maddy and Morph both connected with Sinister knowing the 2 sides of the often ruler of Limbo in Majik suggest Sinister's established a connect w/ Limbo too? And Maddy's still out there? This is a thread they can bring back and dive deeper into whenever they want to fill in some of those Inferno elements that wouldn't fit in the show to date.

You cant do all of that because Scott Summers was a piece of trash motherfukker who turned on his wife and son for Jean. Left them in the wind. Lol.

Morrison was a goofball but i did like New X Men #147 after Xorneto was revealed...
"I WISH I COULD KILL THEM ALL" as he had NY under lock and key staring out the Statue of liberty.

Aye man, they need to go ahead bring him back. If he keeps cooking up this X-Men crack, he can abuse whoever he wants…. Obviously not serious…. But maybe a little.

They are following Chris Claremonts most famous stories..don't matter who is doing anything. The animators getting it done on time. That's it. They got a few revisements like Jean and Madeline leaving on good terms and not having Cyclops just leave his son and wife for Jean but it's all Claremont
