It really don’t matter if they make a milli or not. Cuz all that’s gonna he said it “Bu Bu Bu Bu they didn’t crack 1.2 milli”:yeshrug:

Both shows just need to do more than whatever was done previously before they took the slot.
Lately The numbers have been fine For both shows. It’s these lames who think 700-800k is poor. They forget that the big E shows are still under 2.0. Sometimes they don’t even crack a million more viewers than either show. :skip:

Backstage News On WWE NXT Possibly Moving To A New Night - Wrestling Inc.

As noted yesterday by @Wrestlevotes, there have been ongoing discussions within WWE about NXT possibly moving to different night instead of Wednesday. However, no decision is expected to be made on the matter any time soon.

In an update, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reports that Vince McMahon and the USA Network have the same mentality when it comes to AEW. They ultimately don't want another wrestling company to succeed in attracting a fanbase like AEW has, especially considering that USA's partnership with WWE is worth $265 million, while AEW and TNT are set at a $40 million deal.

Apparently Vince and the network were aware that if NXT had been on a different night other than Wednesday when it premiered on the USA Network, it would have drawn significantly more people. According to Meltzer, the only reason NXT was put head-to-head against AEW was to attempt to run AEW out of business. Once AEW and TNT came to a three-year television deal earlier this year, Vince and his partners realized that their plan to rule out AEW didn't succeed, which came as a surprise to many people in the industry including people at TNT.

At that point, the idea of moving to another night was shut down. It has apparently been brought up during meetings that NXT is regularly losing the Wednesday night ratings war against AEW, however, nothing has been changed. It was noted that they may be making a decision in the future regarding the night they're on, especially if viewers continue to decline for NXT.

NXT drew 849,000 viewers on the USA Network this past Tuesday night, according to Showbuzz Daily. This was up 3% from last week's 824,000 viewers. Over the past few months, the show's viewers have ranged anywhere from 633,000 - 901,000 viewers per episode.

Smart move..but its good for AEW too
The only reason i watched last night was because i went lookin for nxt and it wasnt there

i agree it is a smart move but they should move it to Thursday.

I probably still won’t watch since that’s Impacts night

I’m not about to watch Dark, then Impact then NXT

So both shows ratings this week went up and all it took was an iron man championship match on one show, and a go home show for a much hyped ppv on another show.:mjlol:

The Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast reports that a very reliable source has said that WWE is moving NXT to Tuesdays. This will reportedly start on April 13th.

Hearing from a very reliable source that NXT will be moving to Tuesdays starting 4/13.

Spectrum Sports 360’s Jon Alba also tweeted in response to this post. He used eyeball emojis as if to indicate that fans should take notice.

Even if they do move nxt, i doubt it’ll make a big difference for either show. Probably a +100k difference for either one.

Never understood two wrestling shows going head to head in 2021.

Wrestling isn’t popular enough to create a rift between wrestling fans, you need as many viewers as you can get.

Now that you did that shyt, you have weird stans on each side that won’t even look in the other products direction due to some artificial war between the two, thus lowering your potential viewers on Tuesday

Word, like I gurantee most of AEW's core audience would otherwise fukk with NXT. They were the same people who would hate main roster WWE but be hyped for all the Takeovers
