WWE/USA Considering Moving NXT To Tuesday Night — Update: Starting 4/13?

According to Wrestle Votes, WWE is discussing the idea of moving NXT off Wednesday nights. The talks are apparently open and we’ll have to see if a Tuesday night move for the next two weeks changes their decision.

Over the past month or so, discussions have transpired regarding NXT moving off Wednesday nights. No decision imminent, however, talks are ongoing. The numbers over the next 2 weeks might have some impact on this decision.

WWE Considering Moving NXT To A New Night

It is reported that a couple of months ago USA Network suggested that NXT be moved to Tuesdays. The company obviously didn’t take them up on that offer, but things might have changed.

It is said that some in the company said “they aren’t as committed to the competition aspect of NXT on Wednesday night considering it costs them viewers.”

WWE is receptive to the idea of moving NXT’s weekly show to Tuesday nights. At this time nothing is confirmed, but the company is considering it. These two weeks on Tuesday for NXT are said to be a “test run.”

This is a good idea. They never should have went up against AEW anyway and they risked fukking up the show just because Vince got triggered.

I'd go further and suggest they whittle it back down to 1 hour but that will never happen.

They could've retained some of the people expecting Smackdown when the move to FOX first happened.

Will they though? I honestly feel like both shows have a 600-800k base that goes slightly up (mostly for AEW) or down (NXT) from time to time but wouldn't go that much higher if they went unopposed.

I mean sure, they might get a spike the first couple of weeks but eventually I feel it's gonna be pretty similar of what they get on Wednesday.
