It's fukked up that they basically have to bribe wrestlers to stay at the company.
WWE should be the absolute end game for every American wrestler. They have by far the biggest exposure, the best facilities, the deepest talent pool to work with, and of course with that naturally comes the money. But they're the ones acting like the start up company just throwing money at talent to make ground on the established competition.
But due to the toxic work environment, the restrictions the wrestlers face and how badly they're treated as employees, the first sign of a real alternative has a significant amount of them looking to jump ship.
You really fukked this one up, Vince
It should be the end game but I don’t want to spend my prime years hanging in catering. You can’t EVER get that time back. It’s one thing if you’re Rick Steiner or Jim Neidhart, old and beat up in WCW getting free paychecks. They’re having guys in their mid 20s-early 30s on ice. If they’re never going to be on Raw nor SD, let them go. Or sign guys for months at a time like they did Kota Ibushi in 2016.
