In Asuka's case, it makes sense because it ties into her theme song, which is called "The Future."

Some of their nicknames are fine. "Empress of Tomorrow," "Five Feet of Fury," "The Viper," "The Bulgarian Brute." The problem is more for every good one, there's about ten shytty ones they use all the time.

Seth Rollins' character is just a collection of tag lines at this point.
