Yep, as much as we all hope and fantasy book, face facts the shyt is mediocre and paint by numbers booking.
I was hoping somehow they left the Shield to do work @ the Rumble and help the winner win the RR. That would be nice and refreshing, but nah, it's the shyt that is simple as possible.
CM Punk & The Shield are in kahoots, the stories been that way since day one, and that's what it is.
Sad thing is that means bad news for The Shield, as i`m sure they have zero plans for them besides being Punk's kayfabe protectors and Ryback's real protectors.

It was a great match. Great ring psychology and though Rockys my boy, Punk kind of carried him/set the tone of the match. The Rock was obviously a little winded and rusty but he worked alright. Its a shame Punks reign ended but who other than the Rocky should have won it? Regardless, Road to Wrestlemania will surely have all kinds of fukkery
That's why I made that thread the other day, thought Rumble was gonna be a big moment for the direction of The Shield.
Seems like they were just Punk's lackeys and there really was no direction for them, if Punk never got hurt they never would have had a match in the 3 months of being on TV.

Efren sent the following recap of what happened after the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view concluded.
The Rock said Mike Chioda told him he needed to position himself to get the WrestleMania sign in for the shot. "Excuse me, but I'm talking to Phoenix," Rock said. The crowd went ballistic.
Rock thanked the Superstars because it takes one hell of an effort to put on a night like tonight. Rock thanked his family and from the bottom of his heart. He thanked the fans. "It feels good to do this again and be WWE Champion... if you smell what the Rock is cooking."
The Rock heaved the microphone to Justin Roberts, who barely clutched it like a vase. Rock autographed his No. 94 Johnson jersey for a fan and left.
