its crazy how the same company that turned trish, who was just a model, in to the best ovelral diva clearly in less then 3 years yet can't make models as good all around since
layla was probably the closest but is no where near as over as trish

maybe its the angles too? Trish could feud with a diva then do an angle with christian/jericho or a segment with rock/vince and be seen as an important character where as divas are literally five minute segments that make no sense now a days

She grew up as a wrestling fan. Trish and Lita just cared more. She also was the one who always politicked for time in the back so the women could get time in their segments, but she'd go out there and do a crazy bump justifying it.

She didn't ho around so management respected her too.

Majority of other models they've tried to push since either didn't care enough or didn't have it. Michelle was the best model turned wrestler they had, but had no chemistry. The others were just doing i to get a paycheck, I remember Candice Michelle straight up did an interview saying she didn't give a shyt about wrestling but if they gave her a title she'd take it

The only thing Trish wanted to do at the time was wrestle, and she was in the ring with some of the greatest female wrestlers to hit WWE: Molly Holly, Lita, Gail Kim, Victoria, Jazz. They carried her ass when she was terrible but made her work until she became good. She wasn't willing to just be dragged around the ring, she wanted to earn her stripes.

And even then, she wasn't as over as WWE pretends she was. Remember when she got booed against Mickie? And Lita came back in 03 and her pops were shytting over hers?

WWE fukked up when they didn't push Mickie James after she left. PWInsider said that Vince didn't think Mickie or Melina were "marketable enough" and was more interested in Ashley and Candice.
