these dudes definately respect each other in some capacity, punk might not like hima nd we might all joke but rock is upper echelon, rock did what 99% of wrestlers who have done it all would/probably would have wanted to do and be a star universally so they dont have to tear their bodies up
only guys built to be in the business forever are the punk's, taker's, triple h's etc.

I believe they get along just fine outside of storyline. The Rock comes off as a guy that's genuinely hard to not like unless you're the jealous type. He gives respect and he gets it. He's a hard worker and he's humble. Outside of being humble, I think Punk is similar even if he's a little more rough around the edges as a person and has sociopathic tendacies.
