I'm no fan of no-selling promos but honestly, the smirking seems very accurate of Becky's character now as an antagonizing smart-ass. The whole reason Becky got over was because not only does she not run from a fight, she starts most of them. To have her get scared from Ronda one promo into their feud would diminish her, especially because she literally picked this fight the same night.

the industry was way more popular back then, you cant expect anyone to be that popular in the current era. even she manages to get some casual fans to tune in for her, they will soon tune out at all the other wack shyt that happens on the show. wwe steps on their own feet trying to force pg and only care about kids when in 2019 social media is what dictates whats hot and those people are a little older.
She doesnt need to be scared, just fired up and ready to fight. The no selling smug sh1t is something everyone hates Cena/HHH for, but loves when internet wrestlers like her and Punk do it.

Yeah, but the feud just started and there's more than enough time to get to the point where Becky realizes she's getting more than she was bargaining for. If she does this the entire feud then it's definitely a problem but given the situation it makes sense she's trying to undermine Ronda.
