She needed to be the female Lesnar and she wouldn't be limited like she is now.

She really should have been the female Brock but I guess maybe they figured that was too close to what they have Shayna doing in NXT. Or they wanted that contrast w/"heel who dgaf about the business" Brock and "face willing to give it her all" Ronda. I can't say but you're absolutely right in that having to keep it PG and not really being able to go off script hamstrings her. Her best promo by far was when she let the chopper sing on Nikki and if I remember correctly she came up with that one herself.
