That fukk crowd didn't help matters...that's for damn sure.
A fan's perspective from Raw TV...
I was in the live crowd in Sioux City for Raw, and I would like to apologize on behalf of the dead crowd. I spent all night trying to get the crowd alive, but it was obvious that 90 percent of the crowd didn't even watch wrestling.
I kept trying, but people just wouldn't help with the chants. I even lost my voice trying to get people to cheer. But, I would also blame a lot of the dead crowd on the booking, such as the heel vs. heel and face vs. face match-ups. People were very confused tonight.
Back to the crowd. A lot of people I talked to didn't even pay for their front section tickets; they either won them from the local radio station or they were seat-fillers.
I would also like to apologize for the "What?" chants that broke out during Mark Henry's promo, which was probably really good, but I couldn't hear it. I am disappointed with my hometown.
Overall, I thought the show was good, and the three wrestlers the crowd was really into were Daniel Bryan, C.M. Punk, and John Cena. Bryan was mainly because of the "Yes!" chants. The crowd became alive when John Cena came out, and they were 90 percent in Cena's corner. I did shout "Crocop" at Alberto Del Rio, who gave me the heelish death-glare.
Aside from the poor crowd, I enjoyed the show and I hope it doesn't take WWE another four years to come back. I just wish the crowd were as alive as they were when Cena came out during the whole show.
Overall, this was indeed one of the weirdest crowds I have seen while watching wrestling.
