WWE planning to have two WrestleManias a year

they'lll probably do a RAW-Wrestlemania and a SD-Wrestlemania.

Which is stupid.

SummerSlam USED to be the 2nd Wrestlemania basically

the whole WWE calendar has been watered down to such a ridiculous degree.

back in my day when i was a young'n .... there was a clear distinction between the different types of shows


weekly show - mainly squash matches and the occasional top guy vs mid card guy main event. also featured promos and interviews to further along storylines. main goal was to get main roster guys over.

semi monthly show - usually SNME... happened every other month or so... a condensed show but every match featured main roster guys, this was a big deal. also advanced storylines.

quaterly PPV - spectacle events featuring a long list of big name matches and main roster guys. title defenses, gimmick matches... the best of everything on display.

yearly supershow: wrestlemania... the one event of the year that rules them all. a supercard featuring the absolute biggest matchups you can possibly put together. all titles on the line, all the top players involved.


^ there was a clear difference between these shows. since then the lines have been blurred. the gap between them now is incredibly small. you see the same talent on all the shows and all the belts are defended routinely every month.

now they wanna water it down even more and have TWO wrestlemanias, TWO royal rumbles... it's embarrasing.

I said a while ago they needed to convert SummerSlam into a stadium event.

How you gonna call an event SummerSlam, but hold it in an indoor arena in the Northeast

Because in major markets it'll be NFL preseason and smaller markets will be college football season and the NFL & NCAA don't want a WWE event fukking up their turf that close to when the regular season starts.

Move Summerslam to early August to create enough of a buffer. It’s no different than summertime concerts at the same venues. Also Summerslam 1992 aired on tape delay so they never had another major ppv overseas. With the network, it doesn’t make a difference if they went back to London.

The breh earlier in the thread that mentioned WM2 might be on to something. A WrestleMania that took place in 2(maybe more) arenas simultaneously could be dope.

But 2 different WMs a year would probably suck.

Just have 4 overseas PPVs a year with the feel of the "Big4"

Saudi has "GRR". UK/London could have a "King of the Ring" ppv. Australia could have a "War Games" ppv. Japan could have a "Clash of the Champions" ppv.


If Vince could stop hating on WCW, the last two could be FIRE.
