Unless they call their matches in the ring, if they do a bunchof bunch of betting lines on stuff like how many Germans does Brock have in his match, wouldn't that make it easy for the people producing the matches to make easy money?

"Oh, the line is 5.5 Germans for Brock tonight? Well guess Brock is doing 6 tonight." *goes to bookie and bets the over*

Luckily Vince not booking. He'd have someone like Roman or Brock get squashed by a jobber or low level talent to avoid paying out the winnings. Be putting a bet on random jobber at 2500/1 to beat the public betting it all on the favorite.

Right now most sites that support wrestling betting cap the bet limit
If they allow big amounts I don't even know how they would regulate staff making a killing. This is different then refs trying to hit an over/under on BS calls, as the players still ultimately control the game.

Imagine Roman being a -1400 obvious winner (stupid risk as a better to begin with ie: Undertaker/Brock WM bet) and his underdog is +850 or some nonsense and the better line going into the match is heavily Roman. Would there be pressure for an upset so that the betting sites/Vegas don't lose their asses.

Honestly have no clue how this word work. How many WWE staff would be allowed to know the booking decisions is another thing I'm sure they would need to nail down.

Maybe the Oscars/Emmys/Grammy's would be the precedent?

We should've had an episode of The Sopranos where Davey went to Tony to get a line on Royal Rumble 2000

How do you even set odds and not lose money when nearly every match is predictable?

Like all but the idiots fantasy booking knew Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn weren’t beating Roman at the last two PLEs. How do you set the odds to get people betting on KO and Zayn?

Feel like this would force WWE to book things a whole lot more ambiguously to prevent predictable endings, and it’s pretty hard to tell a good story while being ambiguous.

We're not exactly talking world class writers who are producing content that's going to be part of the Criterion Collection by any stretch of the imagination.
Shhh man… I’m tryna be a six figure brother :blessed:
