The most exciting thing about the new logo is that we finally get to see WWE make their aesthetic more modern and contemporary. The current style reeks of 2000's. From the scratch logo, to the set and titantron, to those fukking ROBOT LEGS when they show the Versus screen on Raw. Everything needs a visual, modern upgrade. I bet you this is one of the big obstacles for gaining new fans WWE has: everything about their current aesthetic screams :flabbynsick:

Yep, even the format how the show is setup is :flabbynsick:, why do need a 20 minute promo to set up the main event, shouldn't a main event already be setup. I think starting out with a good 10 minute match and then a have the main eventers talk about the match coming up later in the show would be better. There is no Nitro on TNT to compete against no reason to continue that tired format. Also, I think WWE needs to have a RAW in a outdoor venue, maybe like a tennis stadium during the summer or maybe a spring break beach area during March like WCW did. Something to change the monotonous environment and to give the show a new and fresh feel occasionally

They said they are changing to a more action-focused product - to target more non-English markets such as China - so I see them killing this :flabbynsick: format relatively soon, especially after the accolades thrown at NXT Arrival and NXT's format in general. I think we've seen hints at this new shift as well, such as the Raw in Chicago a few weeks back.

Seems to me WWE is doing a mass company rebranding, not just tied to the logo. The performance center, the network, and the shift to more action seem to suggest this.

Sorry if this post seems long-winded, I just hate it when people ignorant of graphic design and graphic design trends make really simplistic and reductionist statements towards logo design and style.

If you can tell, yeah, I'm a professional graphic designer so I'm anal about it. Sue me. :yeshrug:

As a failed Graphic Designer I approve of your message

Are they going to change the belt again or are we always going to be rocking with the scratch since it's on the new belt? :patrice:

Smackdown for me is hardly watchable based on the color scheme and set.

I'm gld they got rid of the big fist, but the blue lighting, set design, and the white ropes, etc neds to go.

Here's the thing with SmackDown's colors, it's like before they went HD, it was a blue scheme of course but it wasn't used as heavy as it is now, now you got the arena lights blue, whole titantron blue, everything blue :heh:

yeah they gotta do something. I dont know what other color would look good tho, and RAW already has red.

A black theme and a new name/concept for the show might be dope. The name Smackdown is kinda lame at this point
