Still hoping on that rumor from a while back that both were being made. Because if it's just one title it would have been the IC over the US in my opinion, since IC has more to do with WWE history wise.
They gave no indication that it is cross-branded nor did they give no indication that it wasn't. They could be doing that on purpose if they know there is an IC title coming as well. Just gotta wait and see.

OK now I went back to hear what Cole said after the announcement and he said,
"For the first time ever on Raw or SD women can battle for another championship"
Whether this means it's cross brand or just a general statement is yet to be determined. Gonna have to wait for more clarification.

I'd say Michin should get it. Fued with Chelsea would be cool but then I guess that effectively takes her and Piper out of the tag title picture. I lowkey would rather have Bianaca and Jade lose the tag titles and have Jade win the US title and since everyone thinks Bianaca will be the one to turn this could be the reason
Most definitely. Its a little strange that they have Aldis in the picture with it and all that. I'm thinking Pearce challenge aldis to a tournament to try weasel his raw superstars into contention and the first champ is crowned on Survivor Series with a Raw V Smackdown match... and smackdown wins forcing Pearce to eventually make a women's IC title. Fantasy booking lol
Or the title could just bw on both brands.
