why did he stop competing anyway? injuries? didnt really get over? I heard Cena buried him backstage ( not sure how true that is)

After his run with Miz, he was reduced to a jobber that was rarely seen, had surgery at one point, still wasn't used after healing, then he started showing up doing stuff like this last year. He's really good in this role, but I've always liked him so I wouldn't mind seeing him make another return to the ring.

I will say part of the problem is 3 man commentating teams never seem to work....its always better when its a 2 man tandem and ever since the WWE has gone away from actually commentating on wrestling moves and instead want to commentators to talk about storylines..the commentating product suffered

BUT- Cole fumbles calls, says the corniest shyt ever said on wrestling and he doesnt really sell the action like JR, Jesse Ventura even Tony Schiavone

I tune him out

Like I said though you put him with a good heel commentator and he is somewhat tolerable.
