Good opener. While I would have preferred to see the new 'ref' catch a beatdown, the verbal assault Punk gave AJ made up for it somewhat. He has made mention of their past before, but I suppose now they will run with this explanation as to why she is so hard on him. Meh.
The backstage segment with AJ and the ref was decent enough. It tied in well with the aforementioned segment and showcased her as someone who has power but who lets her emotions steer her choices.
Dolph vs Kofi was an enjoyable match. Not crisp but it was good to see a match with two talented wrestlers happen without the aid of others or some kind of a distraction.
Z-Ry/Santino vs PTP...eh. I don't care for the pairing of Ryder and Santino, but they do have something in common with them both being over for whatever reason.
There were parts of the Foley/Punk interaction that I liked, but I didn't think it was great. While Punk had some good regurgitated lines, Mrs Foley's baby boy had the best line during the face-off...
then how he ended his rant...
Miz vs Ryback...
I thought the D-Bry/Kane taped segments were pretty good. Mae Young making a cameo was a nice touch. Hey! she's just having fun out there.
Barrett vs Kidd was decent for the time it had. I would have liked to see a much longer match like the one Wade had with J. Gabriel, especially since Kidd can really go but it is what it is. I expect Wade to keep picking up wins, and hopefully something more comes of them. I'm not gonna jump the gun as of yet and call his return a flop, but if things don't change well...
Good to see Lawler. I have mixed feelings about the whole situation. On one hand, I think its great that he was shown to thank fans and whatnot, and on the other hand with the pics of him on the stretcher and them conducting an interview with him so soon, it bordered on exploitation.
I wasn't really feeling the 6 man tag match. Ricardo played his role well enough, but aside from that it was all kind of blah.
The Rhodes Scholars asserting themselves during Kane and D-Bryan's name ceremony, was a good moment. The Tag Team Division is in full swing.
The Diva'smatch cameo = meh. While I will give creative a bit of credit for consistency, lets face it, Kaitlyn is not a Diva who the WWE Universe cares much about. The person who beat your ass had blonde hair? K.
The Big Show returns and knocks out Tensai and Brodus...
Cena's rambling was annoying. Punk was good during the interaction, not that it was all that difficult to outshine John who doesn't know from week to week, if hes gonna say a swear word or play in the PG sandbox. Ending was silly, but his little arm is hurt so whatever. I have no interest in seeing Ryback in a match, let alone in a match with Punk but what can ya do.
