The rounded 2.8 rating was the highest in three weeks, but still below the beginning of September when Raw rounded to a 2.9 opposite the first few games of the NFL regular season.
- Raw averaged 4.07 million viewers, which was up 17 percent from last week's year-low average of 3.50 million viewers. It was the most viewers in four weeks, but also below the beginning of September.
The hourly pattern was Raw peaked in the new first hour with an average of 4.19 million viewers for John Cena's return and Vince McMahon's advertised speech, dipped to 4.067 million second hour viewers, and stayed about the same with 4.065 million third hour viewers.
It took more than two hours for Raw to get from the McMahon-C.M. Punk confrontation to their "fight" at the end of the show, which led to stagnant viewership during the final two hours of Raw.
