I'm all for fukkery but damn, give us at least one meaningful storyline. :snoop:

They could have made triumph out of tragedy but they went the cheapest route possible. It seems like if Punk and Cena aren't involved with each other they are just generic foils and saviors in other ultimately meaningless feuds.

I'm not a big fan of Punk but you got a guy who can tell a story on both the mic and in the ring and you got him stealing urns? The whole thing should have been based on respect.

Punk and Heyman should have interrupted the tribute, but in protest. The basis would be that a legend like William Moody deserves more than a cheap moment of silence and a pose by the man who robbed him of a proper send off. Punk would then put over Bearer and how he was a critical and irreplaceable component in the legend of the Undertaker and the Streak but Taker was so selfish that he could never hang it up after he knew he was done and allow Bearer to retire the character he nursed when Taker was nothing more than a mute, green zombie.

He would explain how last WM was the perfect moment to give Bearer the proper send off and closure. HHH had set up the hook; the end of an era. HBK brought the drama as having to choose between a man he respected and his best friend. All Taker had to do was show up and collect a check, beat HHH, get a nice clean 20-0 at WM and retire. Paul would bring out the urn, Taker would pose, everyone would get a nice pop, fat legends contract and MOVE ON.

Taker's selfishness and greed killed that perfect moment. And with Bearer's death so too goes his proper send off. Before, Punk was looking to add a feather to his hat by ending the Streak. Now it's more than that. The Streak has to die because that kills the Undertaker. The Undertaker must pass on with William Moody...anything else cheapens the contributions of Bearer and sullies Taker's legacy. Punk holds up the urn, salutes William Moody and you're off to the races.

But hey, we can always use the urn as a cheap weapon instead. :belip:

The problem is that these streak matches are totally built on the guy jobbing to Taker. And the job guy has to build up the entire "feud" while Taker just waits for the day to cover him for the pin. With an in depth story like this, to keep Punk squarely in the antagonist role, Taker would have to do some fukking work. I guess this was the easiest way to get heat on Punk without Taker having to lift a finger. :smh:

It's not a face promo if Taker has a rebuttal. And let's not act as if Punk hasn't done these sort of promos before.
Taker's comeback would have to break kayfabe which he never does or the generic "shut up you bad guy, imma face so I'm in the right here."

What you posted was really good but it would reverse alot of character building they've done for these two.

Personally, I'm liking Punk wanting to end the streak just because he has a big ego.

That's....actually a pretty good and inventive idea. Punk's probably the only guy who can affect the necessary amount of douchebaggery to pull this off though.

But on the other hand, is stealing an urn (something we haven't seen play out yet) really as bad as some of the other crap that we're probably going to have to face in the build to WrestleMania? Sure, it's in no way inventive, but I'd prefer traditional over, say, whatever the hell is going on with Dolph Ziggler. For a second example, if the Barrett/Jericho/Miz segment was a setup for a WM match, that's going to be absolutely dire for the next 3-4 weeks. Punk and Undertaker's storyline is fantastic in comparison to those two.

Nah, this is exactly what it should be.

Punk & Heyman are scumbag heels, they don't respect the dead. Why break their entire character?

I actually love this build. It's old school wrestling of making it "personal"

People were complaining about Punk's cheapness a few months back and now it's all good? Punk's scumbag behavior is rooted in the fact that he thinks everything he does is not only right, but by extension good for the business. In reality he is a scumbag for tainting the Bearer/Taker relationship with those accusations. You all complain about the cheap storylines and angles but still want certain aspects spoon fed to you. This is why they do the things they do with Cena; they want to force feed you the idea that HEY, HE IS DOING "GOOD" CHEER FOR HIM. And with Punk and this angle; BOO HIM, HE "BAD."

Like every other story is cookie cutter, inject some drama for once.

Good idea, but I don't see WWE ever pulling that kind of angle.

So you want Punk to cut a face promo?

It's not a face promo if Punk goes out and tries to put himself over as the savior of the legacy of The Undertaker. Nobody likes "that guy".

The storyline sounds good but punk can't do anything facelike or that gives people a chance to cheer him . The guy got cheered for attacking Kane before the match . It's better to play the slimeball

They're going to do it anyway. They need to stop fighting against 20% of the crowd. People would still boo Punk because even IF he is somewhat genuine he's being an ass about it. Everyone knows THAT guy.
