I don't see why everyone is crying about this. The payday dwarfs the WrestleMania payday. I don't blame Vince at all for this :manny:
I’d get it if people were taking offense to them bending over for Saudi Arabia for ethical reasons, but this is mostly just crying that WWE, a company in the business of making money, is choosing to make millions and millions of dollars.

Unlike with how these old dudes don’t do anything for Mania’s bottom line anymore and they just suck up unnecessary space that time of year, they do actually need them in order to secure the biggest bag they’re probably ever going to get for this show.

If you want them to keep losing millions on NXT and continue on with a SD most of y’all seem to love these days despite it doing worse than trash ass Raw and when Jinder was on top, you’re gonna get shyt like this too. You’re lucky they don’t hire the fattest Anoaʻi out there and try to pass him off as Yokozuna with how much the Saudis are paying them.

I get it from the standpoint of a business decision. Vince is basically saying "run me my money" and from that POV I can't be mad at him. He's creating revenue for his company and giving the audience they're specifically catering to for this event what they want so on that level it makes sense.

HOWEVER, as a regular, deregular fan...this sucks, for me. Even if I get past the fact that these dudes are all washed, even if I overlook the fact that Taker has (at best) a half decent five minutes in him, even if I let them slide on being almost 20 years too late...On a personal note this makes me cringe b/c HBK was one of the very few guys who retired in a way that added to, instead of damaged, his legacy. I never wanted to see him come back b/c his retirement was honestly a near perfect blueprint for how it *should* be done. Seeing him come back for what amounts to an ego stroke for HHH and a cash grab for Vince is disappointing.

I guess it's all for the money. I'm not excited for it. To me it just shows that they have to dig into nostalgia to make a buck, instead of making a making a name with the new talent they have.
