It's not bad, but it is completely boring and uninspired.

This. The talent is there, it's just the booking/writing is extremely lazy. This era shyts all over the 2006-2011 era that featured:

LOLCENAWINS Reigns of Terror
A Pirate who might have a thing for his sister
The Boogeyman
DX coming back twice with Dad Joke gimmicks
Everything having to do with Hornswoggle
Guests Hosts every week
b*stardization of ECW
shytty Midcard

Since 2007.

If you want to go deeper, mid 90's bad ('93 until early '97).

It's an embarrassment of riches, literally and figuratively given the talent they have. And this, combined with just how lazy and uninspired it is can be called bad. I've certainly seen worse, and agree this is better than the era of Little People's Court, and the anonymous GMs. But it ain't good. I don't even consider my expectations that high at the moment. I understand how much time they have to fill, but damn.

It isn't high expectations when NXT is producing quality content right alongside the WWE.

It isn't high expectations to want NXT Champions to transition to the main roster and maintain their momentum beyond one PPV.

It's ridiculous and it's unacceptable. This is a 'worst' unique to maybe any other time in wrestling history.

I keep hearing people say that the talent is there but is that really true? They have some but it's not an "embarrassment of riches" since only a few stand out. You can blame creative do a degree but it doesn't change the fact that a lot of these wrestlers don't give off that pro wrestling vibe, most of them look like managers at Best Buy.

What does the pro wrestling vibe mean to you in this case... Are we in Kevin Nash "they're all vanilla midgets" territory here? Or did you have a wider variety in mind? Because if you're insinuating that WWE would be amazing right now with the SAME creative but with everyone looking like Hogan, Nash, The Rock, and Austin...we're a LONG ways apart in terms of opinions.

I don’t think you can really compare it to 1995, back when it was basically two or three people booking three hours of content (consisting of mostly no-name jobber matches) a week. The product was horrible then, with a shyt roster outside of Bret/Michaels/Owen, but it was a totally different time and a totally different type of horrible.

They have so many more resources at their disposal in terms of building a creative department and production and so much more time to fill now, with stuff that has to have some sort of creative substance to it... and they’re just doing nothing. The lazy complacency mixed with them purposely trying to force the WWE brand over individuals, making every single wrestler and segment feel irrelevant, makes it almost impossible to watch.

I’d even almost rather the Anon GM and early PG Era bull shyt than this because at least they were trying some stuff then even if failing miserably with it. Effort has to count for something when it’s all trash any way.

the overall product is not bad at all.

its way better than it was the last 5 years before I stopped watching. and its better than some of the nostalgic years that yall glorify.

the only thing thats legitimately bad is raw, which would be alright if they dropped it down to 2 hours.

but then again, I say this as a general wrestling fan, as opposed to a WWE sports entertainment universe guy.

the roster is indeed an embarrassment of riches. they just executed a modern-day version of the territory raids that vince pulled off in the '80s.

its the main reason I started watching the WWE again.

Go back and look at the Attitude Era and tell me that creative was great, there was a lot of bullshyt going on during that time but the wrestlers were able to overcome it with their personalities. Kurt Angle was a great wrestler but he was hilarious as well, now you have people who can wrestle their asses off but they're boring as shyt. Kevin Nash had a point with the vanilla midgets comment and it got a lot of people in their feelings. Some are being held back by creative(Sasha) and some just don't have that big time appeal(Balor).
