In retrospect 2001 wasn't as bad as people think.

Now here’s a post that’s actually true lol. WM17 was GOAT obviously, but there were a lot of gems in 2001. Though Invasion wasn’t at all what it was supposed to be, there were tons of good matches on Raw and SD and you were seeing s lot of wrestlers interact that you’d never thought you’d see.

Post WM17 to right up until Booker T attacked Stone Cold at KOTR 01 was a weird time though, like a holding pattern. Outside of the Power Trip and Shane/Angle, there wasn’t a whole lot going on. They had a chance to elevate the Hardyz, but instead they went with Austin and HHH feuding with Kane and Undertaker :mjlol:

Only thing I liked about 2015 was Prime New Day

Rockin all white in Brooklyn :wow:
Xavier debuting the trombone, shytting on BK while they were still cheering for em:wow:
Capn Seth:wow:
The :umad:celebration when Sheamus won the title (whose reign was trash btw)

That TLC match when Xavier threw the trombone :wow:

Ending RAW after beating down Cena, Dolp and the Dudleys :wow:

2015 was a mixture of :blessed: moments and :scust: moments.

:blessed: MOMENTS
-The Royal Rumble triple threat
-WrestleMania 31
-The origin of Suplex City
-The night after WrestleMania (arguably the best one they've ever had)
-The Lesnar/Undertaker feud (last time either of them were booked interestingly and the last time Lesnar was entertaining in the ring)
-New Day's heel run
-The debut of Kevin Owens
-Dean Ambrose's "hard times" tribute promo at the end of Money in the Bank
-John Cena's U.S. Open Challenge
-Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte's introduction to the main roster
-R-Truth's "my bad" gimmick

:scust: MOMENTS
-The entire Royal Rumble match
-The buildup to WrestleMania 31
-The Divas Revolution
-Sting's WWE run
-The Rollins/Lesnar match at Battleground
-The booking for Rollins/Cena at SummerSlam
-The Wyatt Family
-Rollins' entire run as WWE World Heavyweight Champion
-Sheamus (returning with a new theme song, becoming more bland than a piece of white bread in tap water, winning MITB and then the title)
-The League of Nations
-Almost everything to do with the booking of Roman Reigns
-Paige's booking/writing, to the point where I became annoyed by her for the first time

2015 wasn't a year that I'm going to look back on well. Would I take the good stuff that happened over the good stuff now? Yeah, but there was a lot of shyt that took them months to work through. The period from the end of 2015 to WrestleMania 32 is probably one of the worst periods the company has ever been through. I was also skipping RAW more frequently. Things didn't start to get better until the brand split came back.

WWE year to year just exists in a vacuum, there's little carryover, case and point Fight Owens Fight mentioned above.

Characters stay getting major resets and no direction and thus no momentum.

However, I will say Wrestlemania 31 is the best Wrestlemania of the Network Era.

This is the best way to describe WWE right now. It's always reminded me of a sitcom in how things that happen one week will most likely never get mentioned again, but years ago, even though it was booked like a sitcom, it used to be like Friends. If something happened two months ago, it would still matter and probably affect things that happened a year later.

Now it gets that Simpsons/Family Guy booking. If something happened two months ago, it will be forgotten about, then it will happen again and the commentators will act like this is the first time it's ever happened. They're incapable of doing a story like Stone Cold getting run over, and we don't even find out who did it until months later. If that happened now, Stone Cold would just get run over, and it will get mentioned on RAW the next night, then never again.

Mania 31 is so goddamn overrated.

There's nothing memorable about it aside from the RKO spot and Seth's cash in.

He's a p*ssy though

I would've paid to see ROH/NXT Owens vs Braun/Lesnar, now I could care less to see them squash his crybaby bytch ass

:what: AOP don't even make TV time, Sanity is on another show and also doesn't make TV time

He's a comedic p*ssy that no one takes serious, There's nothing great about it.

Dude went from being one of the baddest dudes in the company to being punked out and not able to beat up Shane Mcmahon.

Sounds like a personal thing

And AOP not being on the show is all the more reason we dont need Owens in that role
