Hell in a Cell on Sunday from the Phillips Arena in Atlanta:
*C.M. Punk vs. Ryback for the WWE title in a Hell in a Cell match - Interesting more because of how the match is laid out and what the result is than anything else. Hell in a Cell has never had a true non-finish before, but there you either end Punk's title reign that was originally scheduled to last through January, or you end Ryback's winning streak. The finish has gone back and forth all week. Interesting because the vast majority seem to think Punk should retain so the question becomes how you work the finish. The question is also how do you work a main event caliber match between these two with the confines of the cell, since the house show matches have been mostly lumberjack matches meaning smoke and mirrors, and kept short.
*Sheamus vs. Big Show for the World title - The promise is Dolph Ziggler cashes it in tonight. If they are going in that direction, Show should win because then they had harp on how Show has two title reigns that lasted 45 seconds, plus Sheamus has a million wins over Ziggler and Ziggler never beat Sheamus for the title.
*Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio - These two may be put in the position to carry, because both main events don't look like great matches on paper. Orton is at least guaranteed a solid match almost every time out.
*Kane & Daniel Bryan vs. Damien Sandow & Cody Rhodes for tag titles - Both teams are entertaining. I could see a title switch here. Eventually Rhodes & Sandow should get the belts, but it doesn't have to be here.
*Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz for IC title - Doesn't really matter who wins as much as these two are also in a position where a good match is needed stemming from the strong TV bout they had on Main Event.
*Eve Torres vs. Kaitlyn vs. Layla for the Divas title - Torres and Layla have usually been good.
On paper, certainly not the best show of the year, but I suspect more work will be done on the booking of the top two matches than most shows.
The pre-show at 7:30 p.m. on the WWE web site will feature a John Cena interview addressing the charges made by Vickie Guerrero.
