twice in a lifitime
cm sh!t vs old guy
triple sh!t vs(squashing) monster

i'll be dissapointed in wrestling fans, if more than 1million people will buy this

True.

But Nobody wants new stars it seems. And when we all do, the WWE holds them down (D. Bryan)

Vince is where it starts & stops

I still think all the avg WWE fan wants is to see Cena, Sheamus, and Orton sonning nondescript heels week in and week out. Same as Austin's heyday when the point was that he kicked ass and took no shyt from anyone, even his boss. You couldn't stop Austin without cheating at one point, and people loved it.

Thing is tho, Austin had Rock, Taker, HHH, Bret, & Vince to work with. Nowadays the heel rank start & stops at CM punk

The 80s were easier. Kayfabe was strong. That's why it isn't as impressive as the numbers today.

I dunno about that.... Anybody who wasn't a child knew it was kayfabe at that point.

I don't think any adults had illusions that Tugboat was a serious fighter

The cons of getting big numbers in that day far outweigh the pros imo. With such limited accessibility to PPV, even if people wanted to buy it back then they couldnt sometimes, that's not the case anymore. Nothings harder than selling a PPV to somebody who simply can't access it.

You flooded a breh with memories...

I remember back when there was just one pay per view channel, and I'd flip the old cable box switch to it...

I remember the picture looked like this:

But you could still hear the action pretty well, so I'd just listen and see if I could make out what was going on

:gladbron: @ that cable box... I remember having one of those too

In my parents bedroom was an older TV with a UHF dial on it. Man, I'd get that antennae & dial just right and I'd be set for the night. :cook:

Had a good 2 year run of free, crystal-clear PPVs back in the early 90s :obama:

shyt, you were lucky.

My mom used to try to tell me that hooking up a Super Nintendo would damage the TV :aicmon:

I predict 1.0-1.3 mil buys this WM Rock and Brock on the same card in the NY/NJ area? They can def break last year's record but the fact that two of the marquee matches are rematches FROM LAST YEAR could hurt it

Watching
unless you're hosting a party or something and people are splitting the cost there's no reason to order this.
